Until now, upgrading Agent One to Personal meant a card payment. Starting today you can upgrade without leaving Telegram: the Personal plan can be paid with Telegram Stars, right inside the app.
Stars are Telegram's own in-app currency. If you already have Stars, you can put them to work — and if you'd rather not type in card details inside a chat app, you no longer have to.
What's New
- Pay in Telegram with Stars. Open your assistant's settings, tap Upgrade, and confirm a Stars subscription. It renews every 30 days at 500 Stars and you manage it in Telegram like any other Star subscription.
- Card payment is still there. On Discord and the website, Personal remains $10/month by card (Stripe).
- Nothing else changes. One price, one assistant, either way.
How to Upgrade with Stars
Open your assistant's Settings. In the bot, tap the menu button and open Settings (or send /settings), then go to the Account tab.
Tap "Upgrade to Personal". You'll see the price in Stars (500 Stars / 30 days), what changes, and a clear way to dismiss it if it's not for you.
Confirm the Stars subscription. Telegram opens its payment sheet and, once confirmed, your existing assistant is upgraded in place — same conversation, same memory, same groups.
What Stays the Same
An upgrade never creates a second assistant. Your existing agent, its memory, its conversations, and its group chats are preserved — Personal simply raises the limits:
- Groups / channels: up to 5 instead of 1
- Messages: up to 250 a day instead of 50
- Tools & memory: choose your assistant's tools and store more
Free stays free — one group and 50 messages a day, no card required. You only need Personal if you want more room.
Cancelling & Support
A Stars subscription is cancelled in Telegram (open the subscription from the payment confirmation or Telegram's Star settings). A card subscription is cancelled from the Stripe billing portal. In both cases your assistant stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
If anything looks wrong with a payment, contact us — Telegram's own support can't resolve purchases made in a bot. Send /paysupport in the bot, or read our Terms and Privacy pages.
